And so it Continues...
Progress update: we've started handing out fliers to people in class so that they can distribute them to the designated locations. The candy is selling ridiculously fast, too. Again, it's good for the organization we're donating to but I don't think most people know why they're buying candy besides the fact that they want a Reese's cup. I have no clue what we could do to change that besides write stop child abuse on the wrappers which is kind of a bad idea. As for my fliers I got the kind from Bayley where you can rip off the info so I'm going to drop it off at Mrs. Slater's (fifth grade teacher at Lower Gwynedd) classroom after school tomorrow. Since when we made our persuasive essay/letters I addressed mine to Zion Leadership I'll be printing out the rest of my letters and handing those out at bible study tomorrow too. I think as far as the livestrong-esque bracelets go each person should sell a minimum like five or something and once they hit that mark try to sell more. The wristbands will be, in my opinion, harder to sell than the candy since they aren't edible but at least when we give them to people they'll know what they're for. The other thing about the bracelets is that we have to be careful where we sell them. Speaking about child abuse during a religious service is one thing, but trying to pimp out anti-child abuse merchandise is another. I'm probably going to sell mine to friends who would be willing to cough up a dollar (at least I think the bracelets are a dollar) to help me out with a school project. Then there is, of course, the Dine and Donate. I haven't really heard anything about it since it was proposed. Brett suggested we move the raffle to that day which I'm pretty sure was actually followed up upon. I just don't know if we've gotten people to come or anything like that so I would like to talk about for a minute tomorrow or on Thursday. Otherwise, things are still going pretty smoothly and it seems like everyone's doing their part, even if it's only the bare minimum. So...yeah. That's it.
